can we defeat COVID-19 ?

This is a really big question we need to answer now.To win over covid-19 what are the options we have ?

I think we have  3 ways:

1.To invent a vaccine or medicine

2.To cut each and every covid-19 chain links from society

3.Herd immunity

First we discuss about creating a vaccine ,it is not easy to create a vaccine for any new disease on an average it takes 2-3 years for a complete successful creation of vaccine.as this new virus is adopting to new situations very quickly which is a big problem we have to solve.it may take a minimum of 1 year if we work with full force  but Biocon executive chairperson kiran mujdar said it may take a minimum of 4 years so this might be a difficult solution for defeating the virus.

Other solution is to cut all  the chains of all covid-19 patients and stopping the spread of the disease but as this is changing its form and adapting to new places quickly and asymptomatic people spreading it and it's  long testing process made it much more difficult to stop the spread of disease.

The third and most risky option is herd immunity, in which we will not stop the spread instead we will control the spread and by which we lead the disease to infect most of the population nearly 60 to 70% of the people by which all the people who survived will gain the immunity and can stop the disease as it's mortality rate is very low. The British government has thought about this idea but abandoned it due to fear of losing control over the spread.

And in this time our government has given instructions that all asymptomatic people will get treatment in  their houses only.Is govt trying herd immunity.we don't know.

 

We don't know which option will work or other new options arise but we hope that this will teach us few lessons and we can be normal as quickly as possible and our government is trying its best and we hope for the best.one day we will all be free.
